Do I need to log in?
No. PDF Editor has no login, membership, account or subscription requirement.
Will my edited PDF have a watermark?
No. Downloads are created without watermarks.
Where are my files stored?
Files are held in browser memory for the current session. The app does not use a backend database or cloud file storage.
Which features work in the editor?
You can preview PDFs, add text, images, highlights, drawings, shapes, sticky notes and signatures, reorder pages, rotate pages, delete pages and download the edited PDF.
Can it OCR scanned PDFs?
Yes. The OCR tool uses Tesseract.js in the browser and lets you copy extracted text.
Why does the app warn about large files?
Browser-only processing is private and convenient, but very large or image-heavy PDFs can use a lot of memory. The warning helps prevent crashes.
Does it use paid AI APIs?
No. Smart tools use local extraction, keyword search, counts, outline-style text and simple summary logic. An optional API can be added later without requiring accounts.
